Video: Infertility-Meditation and Positive Thinking


Hi!  This is Lisa Stack, and I’m the CNY Fertility Support Coordinator.  In addition to my Words of Support and Encouragement article this week, I wanted to upload a quick video talking about meditation.  Now of course there are many benefits of meditation and it really is just a wonderful, nurturing act that you can do for your mind and your body.

We are talking a lot about meditation in addition to Dr. Kiltz’s The Fertile Secret book and the chapter on Fertile Thoughts.  He uploaded a great article on the Fertile thoughts and his ideas behind meditation and breathing and his thoughts on treating yourself positively and patiently and getting a positive, patient response from your body.  It’s a great idea, a great concept.  He goes into it a lot more deeply in his book; just to give you a quick little excerpt is if you treat yourself patiently and positively, your mind and your body are connected and your body will respond patiently and positively.

We have a couple of tools to get you going with meditation.  I have the meditation webinars and uploaded audio documents so that you can take a look at those files.  We also have a lot of meditation incorporated into our yoga classes especially Yoga for Fertility.  We have a couple of meditation workshops scattered throughout our centers so you can utilize those where you need to.

If you’d like some more support with meditation please let me know, but I hope you try it out.  Just take a couple minutes every day to try and quiet your mind, slow your breathing down a little bit.  Just relax and give your mind and body the peace and time to work.
