Community Outreach: Fort Drum, Rome Memorial Hospital & PRIDE Events

A couple of weeks ago, I met several happy clients of CNY Fertility Center at the Rome Memorial Hospital health fair, two proud fathers and a grandmother, as well as other satisfied and interested parties.  Each one told me how well they were treated, some naming specific CNY Fertility Center staff members, and all said how their entire experience with us was amazing. They had even attended the Circle of Hope Support Group, attended couples yoga workshops, and listened in on our support webinars! They practically glowed with pride in showing me their baby pictures and with praise for our staff!

At a recent community outreach event in Fort Drum we met so many men and women who had either been to CNY Fertility Center or were planning on scheduling a consultation and had questions.  People, again, shared photos of their CNY babies.  There was so much interest, that we are planning to bring a “Girl’s Night Out” up to Fort Drum for all of the military women in November.

When we attend the PRIDE parades and PFLAG picnic, we get to visit with many parents and their children when they stop by to say “Hello” and take their photo with us.  They are so grateful and eager to share their stories and tell their friends about us.  “No other fertility center provides support for LGBT organizations,” we hear this all the time as local LGBT groups share their appreciation for our support and sponsorships.

I’m honored and proud to be able to represent CNY Fertility Centers and CNY Healing Arts Centers, every day during my Community Outreach work!

Come See Us at Syracuse Pride Parade 2012

The Syracuse Pride Parade kicks off at noon this Saturday, June 16th at the Inner Harbor by Carousel Mall.  We will be marching in the parade with our banner.  We also will have a booth with information on LGBT parenting options, a spa gift basket raffle, and nurses to answer questions and talk about our egg donor program, and staff from our CNY Healing Arts to talk about our offerings such as acupuncture, yoga, massage and skin care.  We will have refreshments, so stop by and say hello.  Last year we met many of our past, present and future clients and it was really fun for us!

LGBT Options

The CNY Fertility Donor Program is able to facilitate many different cycles for the LGBT community.  Whether it is through the coordination of donor eggs, sperm, or embryos, we are able to help you create the family you have always wanted.
There are many options available, for each family situation.  Our donor coordinators will work closely with and your partner to find the scenario that best fits your particular needs and desires.  This may include any combination of donor sperm, eggs, or embryos, as well as the more typical IUI and IVF cycles.
We have the unique opportunity of combining gametes from either partner (or both!) with donated gametes, to create a cycle that includes both parents as much as possible. It is important to note that while we often use anonymously donated gametes, we have the ability to use known donor gametes as well.  This is an opportunity that allows the couple to have more knowledge and awareness of their child’s genetic past, and a bit more control over the process.
We, at CNY Fertility Center would like you to know that we believe families are defined by love.  We will do our best to be sure you have every opportunity to love, nurture, and expand your family.  If you have any questions about the potential cycles available, or how best to approach these initial decisions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  One of our donor coordinators would be happy to walk you through the process, as well as the many opportunities available for your family.
