Seloni's Story:

We were married in August 2019, and we were filled with hope to start our family immediately. In the first two years, we tried naturally and had no success.

The constant stares and questions about when we would have kids were heavy and painful; we felt our hope dwindling.

We visited the local hospital to seek answers and were told that we both looked great and healthy, with no apparent issues. But with no success after 6 months of letrozole and timed intercourse, we sought out our first fertility clinic, and it took every penny we had for 6 months of IUI cycles and one single cycle of IVF, only to have one loss and zero success. 

The doctors couldn’t give us any answers and told us the same thing: we’re young and healthy and should have no issues trying naturally.

We found CNY about 1 year later and have never been more grateful. The second we walked in, the environment was fresh and clean, the people we met were so kind and understanding, and the providers were amazing, kind, and hopeful.

I was finally diagnosed with PCOS and treated with that diagnosis. I truly believe that’s why we were able to achieve success. We had a few losses leading up to this moment, so we were very jaded and unsure if any embryos would stick. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but we wanted to try. 5 years, two clinics, three egg retrievals, three transfers, and thousands of dollars worth of medication later, we were pregnant with our miracle!

I did participate in quite a few rounds of acupuncture. I felt like it was very calming and peaceful. I kept a journal from the first day of our TTC journey. I read old entries and cry for the woman who hurts and craves to be a mother more than anything else because the feelings are so fresh as if that was me yesterday. The future is not as far as we think and your success story is next.

The Moment:

The moment we found out we were pregnant felt like a dream. We had plenty of positive tests in the past, but this time felt different. It felt like there was 9 long months ahead of us to prepare for a beautiful baby to join our family.

I was so scared and nervous, I didn’t even want to announce or share the news with anyone. We had done that in the past only to end in loss and my heart wasn’t strong enough to handle it. I knew, THIS time, our dream had finally come true and we were going to have a baby.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

The journey is so long and hard, but the outcome is worth it! When you hold your baby for the very first time, the shots, the appointments, the travel, and the money spent completely dissappears. All that is left is your love for this little baby and all the love that baby has for you. There is no other feeling like holding your baby for the first time.
