Words of Support and Encouragement Week of July 26, 2010


Have you felt like you need to take a break from cycling, but feel guilty?  Whether a break is proposed out of necessity (a cyst) or as a mind/body/spirit breather, it is important to note that it is common and can foster a more calm approach into your next cycle.  While you may be feeling that ‘time is running out’, try to look at this break as a time to work on the whole self.
Overall health and wellness may have slipped your mind as you have been diligently taking your medications, making appointments, and enduring ultrasounds.  However, it is important to remember that while we focus on one specific region of the physical body, there are many more components to conceiving.  While on a break from cycling with us, take this time to focus on the whole self: mind, body, and spirit.  This period of time can be just as important as any appointment you have in our office.  Imagine, for a moment, trying to construct a birdhouse.  You are working towards creating a warm and welcoming environment for new life, but you must begin with the most basic elements.  What kind of house will you create if the wood, hammer, nails, and saw are not at their best?  How can you expect the nails to hold, if they are worn out and distressed?  What if the wood is splintered and warped with water?  It is best to begin with the highest quality elements – the highest quality you.
Look at this moment of rest as one of active restoration.  Nurture your mind, body, and spirit.  Create the ideal environment for the child you wish to welcome.  Help us, by giving us the highest quality tools and elements to work with.
