Alyssa & Dylan's Story:

My husband and I got married in September 2014. We decided to start trying to grow our family shortly after.. we knew that it could take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive, but didn’t expect it to take long for us at all. We were young and healthy, why wouldn’t it happen quickly? After 14 months of trying, we got nervous so we sought out help. We started with my obgyn and found out at the first appointment that something was wrong.

I had a cyst the size of a grapefruit! We scheduled surgery for a couple of weeks later and I woke up to find out that they had to take my left ovary and my left tube. I was devastated and thought for sure this wouldn’t help us in our journey to conceive. My doctor reassured me that people still get pregnant with only one tube. He put me on Clomid. We were excited! First fertility med. why wouldn’t it work?? The first month, nothing happened. Ok, it’s okay. It will happen soon we thought. 6 more months go by.. nothing. Devastated, we stopped the Clomid and looked for other options. For the next couple of years, I went to a sobada and got womb massages, started seeing a chiropractor, did everything in my power to try and become a mama.

Finally, after a few years, I came across a comment on my glow period app about CNY fertility being affordable and GREAT. I did all the research I could, pretty much made a PowerPoint to show my husband all the reasons we should go there. It was a no-brainer. We scheduled a phone consult with Dr. Kiltz, booked our egg retrieval (after blood tests and protocol of course), and did the dang thing!! Dr. Corley did our retrieval and got 13 eggs that turned into 7 beautiful embryos. Tah-dah!!! We were going to be parents. We felt it in our hearts. Ivf was a magic potion, right?? Wrong, however, keep reading until the end!! We didn’t know much about science or IVF for that matter when we started our journey, but we quickly learned that each body and person is different and sometimes you need a little tweak here or there to find your magic potion.

That’s just what CNY did for us. After almost 5 years of trying altogether and 2 failed transfers, we found ours and ended up with two perfect take-home babies in March 2020. (From 3 day 6 and 7 cell embryos I might add, which is proof that grades don’t always mean good or bad. They weren’t even our “highest graded” embryos) Our twins, Harper and Baker wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for CNY and they are absolutely PERFECT. We are forever grateful to CNY for helping us in our journey to become parents. They made our dreams come true. Give them a chance, you will NOT regret it 💛💛

Favorite Team Member at CNY:

Loved all the nurses, acupuncturist, Dr. Kiltz and Dr. Corley of course, everyone was so kind and compassionate. We definitely plan on coming back when we decide to try for baby sibling

Helpful resources Alyssa & Dylan found:

Meditation and journaling helped me tremendously. Writing my words on paper helped me go through my emotions and understand what I was feeling better. It’s now a beautiful testimony that dreams can come true

Unique Moments:

I loved how playful Dr. Kiltz was when my mom came with me. He made it a fun time and helped calm my nerves💛

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Ivf isn’t a “cure all.” It might take a couple of times and that’s perfectly okay. We didn’t know much about science or ivf for that matter when we started our journey, but we quickly learned that each body and person is different and sometimes you need a little tweak here or there to find your magic potion. That’s just what CNY did for us. After almost 5 years of trying altogether and 2 failed transfers, we found ours and ended up with two perfect take home babies in March 2020.
