Lindsay & Taylor's Story:

Taylor and I got married in 2013 and decided to start trying to grow our family about 6 months later. We tried naturally for about 2 years before consulting with a local specialist. After lots of labs and tests, nothing looked too abnormal other than PCOS and slightly low sperm morphology, so we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

Our local RE was confident that medicated timed intercourse cycles would be successful for us, but after 1.5 years of trying different combinations as well as IUI, we were no closer to getting pregnant. We began talking about IVF but the costs were enormous. I discovered CNY Fertility on Facebook and was able to get a phone consult for a few months later. Not long after that, we were receiving a huge box of medications and setting up appointments! Everything went smoothly during stims, egg retrieval resulted in 33 eggs, and we ended up with 3 frozen embryos and a fresh transfer! Our little fresh embaby “stuck” but unfortunately miscarried at 12 weeks. After a hysteroscopy and polypectomy, we gave it another shot with a FET and joyfully welcomed a beautiful little boy into our lives in June, 2019.

Our story isn’t done yet… we did another FET in May 2021 and are currently awaiting the doctor to discuss results from our anatomy scan at 20 weeks. Prayers for another healthy baby, due January 2022!

The Moment:

I’ve had abnormal periods for years but thought nothing of it. Once I got the diagnosis of PCOS, lots of things began to make sense (other symptoms and infertility). But we were lucky to get pregnant each time we transferred an embryo…. Apparently my body doesn’t mind being pregnant, my eggs are just stubborn!

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Month after month of negative tests were so depressing and it seemed like nothing would help. IVF costs were so high locally, but CNY was able to help with that so much!!
