Lauren & Michael's Story:

Six months after having our daughter in 2021, I suffered from an ectopic pregnancy, which ruptured my left fallopian tube. Around 8 months later, I had another ectopic pregnancy, which ruptured my right fallopian tube.

After the last surgery, I was left with no fallopian tubes, unable to conceive a baby. At only 23 years old, I was told I would never be able to conceive again. After doing some research, I found out about IVF and CNY Fertility.

In June of 2024, I began treatment with CNY Fertility in Syracuse, NY. After two egg retrieval cycles, genetic testing of all the embryos, and a long 3-month wait, I had my first embryo transfer in October of 2024.

Unfortunately, the transfer failed, so we tried again in November, but that failed, too. I decided to try a fresh transfer. So in December, I had another egg retrieval and a fresh transfer. That transfer was successful, but unfortunately ended in an early miscarriage around 5 weeks.

My world fell apart; everything we had worked so hard for was gone. After that loss, I was an emotional wreck.

I decided that we would try one more cycle, and that was it; if it didn’t work, I was done trying. So in February of 2025, I transferred two frozen embryos. The last and final try. Two weeks later, I finally saw those pink lines.

The Moment:

The moment we found out we were pregnant, felt unreal. But the biggest shock came when we found out it was TWINS!

Seeing two heartbeats on that first ultrasound, was absolutely amazing. Everything was finally falling into place, all the pain and heart ache was worth it. The next 9 months were scary, anxiety ridden, but absolutely worth it to finally hold, not one, but two healthy baby boys.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

My biggest advice would be to not give up. Infertility can be such an emotional rollercoaster, with so many ups and downs, but do not give up. There is always hope and one way or another, the amazing team at CNY will have you holding your miracle.
