Latoyia & Anthony's Story:

I had my first son at the age of 20 and 10 months later it when everything changed.

One day I woke up really sick and couldn’t do anything. I went to the ER and had emergency surgery as my appendix was on the verge of rupture. My body was full of infection, and I had to be cut open. Never would I have thought this would affect my fertility.

After a month in the hospital, I went to see my OBGYN and was told there would be a possibility I wouldn’t be able to conceive naturally, and that possibility was my reality.

I met my husband, and he had a 3-year-old daughter, and my son was 7 at the time. We were trying to conceive, but it wasn’t working.

I went to my doctor, and both my tubes were blocked with scar tissue. Here in Alabama IVF can run around $20k and we didn’t have that kind of money.

Watching someone’s IVF journey on YouTube one day they mentioned how affordable CNY was. I googled them, and they were, but I can’t say I didn’t worry about the care. You hear the saying if it’s too good to be true it is.

I was then introduced to INVOcell which was affordable as well as local. I tried it, and the 1st time my follicles never measured what they need to so they canceled my retrieval.

I left that clinic because I felt like stimulating for 4 days wasn’t enough. I found another clinic, and I was stimulated for 9 days and was able to get 3 eggs and 2 fertilized, but both stopped progressing at day 2.

My doctor mentioned IVF and I knew I couldn’t afford those prices at the time my credit wasn’t good even to get approved for a loan.

I mentioned CNY to my doctor and immediately was concerned about the care due to the price. I looked into CNY and made that call to CNY.

From the first consultation, I was amazed and cried because I felt like this was it for me. We started the process, and in my first round, Dr. Kiltz prayed with me which was so touching.

My first retrieval with CNY, I got 29 eggs. I was ecstatic, but I wasn’t able to do my transfer on that visit. They felt like I need to wait due to several of my hormone levels being so high.

We went back home and got a call with updates on our embryos. I ended up with about 16 I believe!

The next month we were getting ready for our frozen embryo transfer day. We only wanted 1, so we transferred 1 great quality embryo, and guess what, I was pregnant!!

Two days later my numbers dropped and was told we would need to try again.

So the following month we got ready for another transfer. Again they prayed with me. We transferred 2 embryos, and our little blessing just turn 3.

Without CNY making it affordable for everyone I would not have completed my family.

The Moment:

When I found out I was pregnant the first time I was so excited and then heartbroken when I found out my numbers dropped. The second time I was again excited but hesitant not knowing it this one would stop progressing, but the day I had him I cried tears of joy and knew all the shots, pills and heartbreak was all worth it in the end.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Don’t listen to all the negativity that could come from those who may not support the process. Keep believing and never give up on what you want for your family.
