Bethany's Story:

My husband, Jesse, and I met working in a restaurant in January 2016. He proposed Christmas Eve in 2019. We got married in May 2020! There were many nights we dreamed of and planned our future which included a large family.

I stopped birth control right away because we knew we wanted to start growing our family immediately. Months went by with no luck. We passed our wedding date with no positive test. We went a few more months before I brought it up to my doctor. We began bloodwork and testing. I was diagnosed with PCOS.

I couldn’t help but begin to feel defeated. We began ovulation medication and timed intercourse. After multiple failed cycles my husband began testing. We were past a year at this point when we realized he had a low sperm count.

Another setback. My husband began medication and we kept trying. We had been trying to conceive for nearly two years at this point. Negative tests month after month.

We started looking into IUI. We found a local facility that we eventually completed 3 IUI cycles, all unsuccessful.

December of our third full year trying to conceive, I spontaneously conceived. We were both ecstatic. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in miscarriage. I was hopelessly searching for ways to be able to afford IVF at our local facility when I found CNY!

Within 2 weeks, I had the consultation. In the fall of our fourth year trying to conceive, I went for an egg retrieval in the Colorado Springs office.

We had 4 PGT (genetic testing) normal embryos!

In May 2024, I had a frozen embryo transfer (FET). Days later, we found out we had a sticky baby! I honestly couldn’t believe it, our first transfer worked!

I went on to have a healthy little girl in January 2025. CNY truly changed our lives and gave us the opportunity to become parents.

The Facebook groups really helped me. It felt good to have this sense of community and people going through the same thing I was in real time.

The Moment:

The moment I found out I was pregnant I was so nervous. Finding out I was pregnant so early on felt like I had that much longer to the “finish line.” At each appointment I got increasingly more excited! Every day felt like a milestone.

It went by so much faster than I expected. I was still in disbelief when I held my baby for the first time. As soon as they laid her on me I uncontrollably began to tear up. Tears of joy, sheer happiness, relief. My dream of becoming a mother had come true!

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

My advice is patience. Once I found out we could make things work financially with CNY, I wanted it to all just happen right then. I had to make myself slow down, live the experience, and have faith that my time was coming.
