April 9th Update: Egg Donors Cycling and Available to Additional Recipients

by

Egg Donor Program - CNY Fertility Center, Syracuse, Albany, Rochester, NYThe donor egg program at our CNY Fertility Centers in Syracuse, Albany and Rochester, NY is a natural outgrowth of our comprehensive fertility and assisted reproductive technology program and represents a significant advance in treatment.  This program has turned out to be the most effective assisted reproductive technology to date and its high success rate is largely independent of the recipient’s age.  The program was developed to help women who otherwise have little chance of achieving a successful birth because of one or more of the following:

  1. Non-functioning ovaries
  2. Advanced age (above 42 years)
  3. Genetic abnormality
  4. Repetitive failure to conceive with other fertility treatments, including IVF and GIFT, using their own eggs.

Below please find a list of egg donors who will be starting an egg donor cycle in the next month or two.  If you are a current CNY Fertility Center client and have completed all of your testing and are interested in cycling with any of these donors please contact your donor coordinator. Becoming an Egg Donor: Round Two

by

Diane (not her real name) has embarked on the journey of becoming an egg donor at CNY Fertility Center and will share her thoughts during the process in her blog here. If Diane’s journey and stories that she shares compels you to look in to becoming an egg donor we would love to get you started. The first step is to fill out our Donor Eligibility Questionnaire – click here to begin.
Round Two:
Good news!  I received a call from the fertility center this week that I have been selected to once again be an egg donor!  I do not know if this is the same recipient as last time or if it is someone new.  Either way, I am just thrilled at having another chance to try and help a couple become a family.
I have to wait on another call from the center before I can begin the process.  They are trying to once again coordinate the cycle of the recipient with my own.  Once they have that organized they can begin bringing me in for my part of the process.
I wonder if the procedure will be any different this time around.  Will the initial steps be the same or will they be able to “fast forward” past some of the baseline information since I’ve already donated?  Will the amounts of hormones be the same or will they increase or decrease?  I wonder if I will produce more eggs this time around?
I am so curious to see how this will play out.  Once again, I am eager and anxious to begin this exciting process!
Sincerely,
Diane
