Tara & Jason's Story:
My husband and I struggled to conceive for 6 months after getting married, and being 'older', we wanted to start our family right away.
CNY is where my husband had a sperm sample completed. After the results showed low sperm count, we were referred to a urologist for further evaluation.
On our first Valentine's Day as husband and wife, we got a phone call that the urology US spotted a suspicious mass. Shortly thereafter, my husband was diagnosed with a rare form of testicular cancer, despite being asymptomatic.
My husband had urgent surgery to remove the cancer, and is unable to be treated with chemo or radiation because this cancer does not respond to it. He is continuing to be monitored at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan.
We were told that we had the ability to become parents someday, but it would be highly unlikely without IVF. After my husband's surgery and recovery, we began the IVF process, and Niccole and Rebecca became like family.
Favorite Team Member at CNY:
Niccole and Rebecca have become like family. They calmed every worry and fear and always made themselves available to me. Rebecca met Lorenzo over the summer and I will be back to see her for the next miracle in 2026.

The Moment:
We found out we were pregnant on Labor Day and learned that my due date was Mother's Day 2025. Everything finally felt like it was falling into place. I cannot put into words what it felt like when Lorenzo was delivered. That moment was the most special I will ever experience. Because we had to go through IVF, we wanted to save some part of our journey as a surprise, so we didn't know the gender. After 2 days in labor, I had a c section, and despite all the challenges along the way, I immediately wanted to do it all over again to experience that miraculous moment with my husband and baby.

Trust the staff and the process. They are truly experts and every horrible part of the IVF journey is worth it when you get to hold your baby at the end of it!
