Words of Support and Encouragement Week of November 22, 2010

Taking a breath, and possibly a pose, may help you move swiftly through the holidays.  As we are welcoming the harvest of Thanksgiving this week, remember to take some time for yourself.  It is easy to get preoccupied with food and family.  However, it is important to remember to nurture and love yourself.  Tomorrow, Tuesday November 23rd at 7:00pm I am holding an Evening Meditation and Relaxation Webinar.  I will walk you through a meditation to help you unwind from the day, and prepare for a good night of sleep. Our CNY Healing Arts Centers will be closed on Thanksgiving day, but open for the rest of the week.  A recent study featured in The Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine highlighted breakthrough research finding that a consistent yoga practice resulted in greater improvements in mood and anxiety level, than a walking regimen. If you are feeling that you could use an extra boost in mood this week, try a yoga class!  The combination of patient breathing, energizing sequences, and calming poses will surely prepare you for a relaxing holiday season.
