This week, try to remember that the thoughts and emotions you hold, are connected to the body. Anxiety, depression, and negativity all are held within the body, unless we actively work to release them.
A great way to practice this idea is to sit in a comfortable position, and think of a happy time in your life. Spend a few moments remembering what that time was like, and how you felt. Notice how as you move deeper in these thoughts, the muscles in your face, neck, and shoulders begin to relax. Feel how your body responds by automatically releasing tension, and slowing down.
A few great ways to practice releasing these emotions are yoga, acupuncture, and meditation.
