Good morning! I hope that you had a great weekend. Last week during our Monthly Infertility Support Webinar, we spent a portion of the session discussing repeat IVF cycles. If you have completed multiple cycles, it can sometimes feel like you are repeating the same month over and over again. You may even begin to lose some of the excitement and hope that you previously had. This is normal, especially after multiple unsuccessful cycles.
If you are feeling like you are walking into the exact same cycle, I suggest that you make one positive change in your plan. Even if your medication protocol stays the same, you could add in acupuncture or Yoga for Fertility for the first time. Similarly, you could promise yourself to add in one extra vegetable serving a day, or cook one healthy meal a week. Taking a brisk 15 minute walk 2-3 times a week is also a great idea. There are many ways that you can support your fertility and overall health, potentially changing the course of your cycle. Adding in one activity that you can exert some control over can also provide you with reassurance and ownership over your cycle. This cycle will be different, because you will be different. Just be sure to pick something that is attainable and reasonable, so that you aren’t disappointed if you cannot keep your promise.
