If you have heard Dr. Kiltz speak, you are probably familiar with his idea of surrounding yourself with what you want. He often reminds patients that if they want children, then they should hang out with children! In addition to surrounding yourself with children, why not also create a warm, maternal/paternal environment? Practice all of those skills and values you would like to pass along to your children (e.g. patience, honesty, respect, joy). By creating the loving, patient, and calm environment you wish to give your child, you are preparing your mind and body for conception. For a moment, imagine the beautiful, delicate embryo that we hope will implant. As it is continuing to grow and expand in the body, what environment do you feel will be most welcoming of a pregnancy? How can you create this environment for yourself?
Yoga, support groups, and workshops all help support the whole being, and provide some great tools. Be sure to check our calendars for events this month, and if there is any further support we can offer you, please don’t hesitate to ask!
