Good morning! We hope that you had a wonderful weekend. As we are moving into the holiday season, it is important to remember to practice good self-care. It is very easy to become overwhelmed and overbooked with holiday plans and commitments. This year, make it a point to really love and respect yourself by taking time out to breathe and relax.
The winter holidays are a time to gather with family and friends to celebrate and be thankful for all that we have. Some of our clients find this to be a special time to take in all of the love and encouragement from family to push them through their next cycle. When the many emotional challenges of infertility arise, reminding yourself of the love and peace felt at the holidays spent with your family might be just what you need to center yourself.
Some clients , on the other hand, find the holidays to be very challenging. That is OK too. If the idea of another holiday without the child that you are trying to conceive is creating great emotional distress, take this as a sign to be extra kind to yourself this year. For you, this is a time to be careful of the commitments that you make. You may need to say “No” to some plans, if you find yourself being stretched too thin. If you need to take a step back this year, to reserve your energy for your fertility, then go ahead and give yourself that gift. Only you can determine what is best in that moment.
We are here for you this holiday season, if you are finding it challenging to cope with. We welcome you to contact us at any time, and be sure to check our CNY Fertility and CNY Healing Arts calendars for our many support events.
We also welcome you to revisit our Holiday Support Guide for many tools for coping with the holidays while facing infertility.
Finally, did you know that we started new Private Facebook Fertility and Pregnancy Groups for current clients?
