Megan & Kevin’s Story's Story:
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s, Mixed Connective Disease, Raynaud's, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at 16 years old. Not one doctor ever over 22 years told me that the 20 subsequent surgeries would rob me of my natural fertility due to pelvic adhesive disease and tubal occlusion.
I found this out when seeking an answer for pelvic pain 2 years ago. My husband knew when we met that I was unable to conceive without ARM, so that’s the road we headed down. I eventually had my tubes removed in September of 2019, followed by a life-threatening infection resulting in a second emergency surgery and an open wound for 5.5 months. I got the go-ahead in February from multiple doctors and started Ovarian stimulation on March 2nd, 2020. We left for Syracuse, NY, and CNY on March 11th, retrieved seven eggs on March 13th, and transferred the only two fertilized day 3 embryos. We are currently 7 weeks pregnant with one embryo.
After 38 years of never being pregnant after 3 weeks, I am still shocked by myself when I say that. It hasn’t been easy, but CNY was our only hope, and your inclusivity was a huge reason we decided to travel. Thank you all so very much!!!

Unique Moments:
I had Autoimmune Hypersensitivity to Progesterone. To the point I was in the ER for hours here in Michigan trying to figure out why I was so so sick. But with Justine and Dr Kiltz I made it though that too!
Hope, Inspiration and Advice:
I wish I had believed in my body and mind from the start. I think infertility wears on us and we lose hope in everything. I truly encourage you to join Fertile Hope Yoga. I tell Erin (Owner) that she saved my life and restored my hope.
