Heather & Joseph's Story:

My husband and I had our last child in 2014, and we thought we were done. We were young, and had a boy and a girl, and so I had my tubes tied.

Last year, we really wanted to grow our family. We wanted at least one more. We tried in October 2023 for a frozen transfer, which failed, then we tried again in November 2024 with another frozen transfer, and that failed. 

We decided to wait until I finished working and was on break. ( I worked at a school), and we would try again in the summer when I was more relaxed. Our third time CNY recommended doing the acupuncture, this time we did a fresh embryo transfer. I made sure I did all the right steps. My husband said, “Why don’t we just transfer two, and hope that one sticks?” So we did just that!

The Moment:

I started testing right away and I just could feel something was different this time. I tested everyday and I could see little faint pink lines. When I went to my 5 week ultrasound to confirm my pregnancy they told me I was pregnant! They saw another blob but they said it was probably nothing.

I go back to my 6 week ultrasound and I have my big kids with me. The lady see’s the first sac and said everything looked good, then she says “oh and there is another, your having twins”!

I was so shocked and started crying! I was happy, but shocked! My daughter and son were jumping for joy! They were super excited. We called my husband right away and he just couldn’t believe it either.

And here we are. Four beautiful children later. We got our Di-Di twin girls and we couldn’t be happier!

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Don’t give up! Listen to your body. It takes time! Talk to people and read about what journey you’re going through. Everyone’s journey is different but you will get there!
