Billie & George's Story:

So this is my story, My name is Billie at very young age I had been diagnosed with PCOS and i was told that one day I would have trouble conceiving. Being young you never really understand what that means until the day comes when you want to start a family.

I met my husband in high school years later the time had come when we wanted to start family, and negative test after negative test the time came where it finally hit that maybe it just wouldn't work. So after many trips to our local OB we were finally referred to CNY, the Syracuse office is where we went. Right off the bat starting with our first consultation I knew it was a place of hope!

Over the next 2 years we got to know the staff very well and never met someone that wasn't warm and welcoming. We started off in October of 2016 with an IUI, which was negative and then we processed to do 4 more of them over the upcoming months with an hour trip at least once a week to the office for blood work. Sure enough each month would go by and each and every time the same result, NEGITIVE!

Slowly losing hope to ever starting a family, we decided to move on to IVF. IVF came with alot more medication especally for stemming lots of injections, inserts, and oral medications, I felt like a human pin cushion by the end!

I had my retrieval in June of 2017, they retrieved 24 eggs in which 16 fertilized and 5 made it to day 5 and 3 made it to day 6 frozen! They reccomend because of all the inflammation to give my body a rest wait for my next cycle to go for it. So I did FET (frozen embryo transfer) we transfered 1 Embaby in July of 2017 with Dr. K, had the 2 week wait and got the call beta came back POSITIVE I couldn't believe it! After all this time positive it felt like a dream for sure I cried when she told me.

I got to 7 weeks and something wasn't quite right still no heart beat, they had said that it had attached but was not growing. Crushed by this news how could this happen to my after FINALLY becoming pregnant and FINALLY it being my turn! So I had to schedule my D&C, one of the worst days of my life I came home and felt so empty, so defeated, why me? I had asked my self so many times, why does this have to happen to me? I wanted to give up so bad but thanks to my amazing supporting husband and family they helped me push forward.

So the next month came and I figured one more try then I'll take a break. I was terrified and so nervous with what could happen this time. After all is said and done it's now October 2017 this time we decided to transfer 2 Embabies with Dr. C and we waited the dreadful 2 weeks. The call came and POSITIVE beta, again it was the most amazing news but in the back of my mind I was terrified of how it could just end that quick!

We went to our 6 weeks check to get a look and not only did one but both babies stuck! I remember the US technician saying "here is your baby" and she got all the measurements and she says "oh wait how many did you transfer?" We replied "two of them" and she says "yup here is the other one.”

We were so over the moon, in that moment I wanted to do everything I could to keep them safe! So the next week we went in we seen something we had never seen before a heartbeat, both heartbeats.

That night after seeing the heartbeats I had a hemorrhage and I was heartbroken it's over AGAIN is all I could think!!! So after being in the ER and they said they were perfectly okay we went back to CNY the next day and they were perfect and growing along.

Skip ahead to 9 weeks they discharged us from CNY a bitter sweet moment, I truly loved the entire staff there including Dr. K and Dr. C!

My official due date was June 30th and we found out I was having a Girl Baby A and a Boy Baby B. Our babies were born June 6th at 36 weeks Lucille Roslynn weighed 6lbs 10oz and Leeland Rockley weighed 7lbs 3oz. I thank CNY every day for my miracle babies that we love so very much we were truly BLESSED! Thank you so much CNY fertility for our family!!!
