Maria Gondra, MD

Dr. Maria Mercedes Gondra is a board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology with over two decades of expertise in infertility, reproductive medicine, and minimally invasive reproductive surgery. She joined CNY Fertility in 2025, bringing with her a global perspective and a deep passion for helping individuals and couples achieve their dreams of parenthood.

Originally from Argentina, Dr. Gondra earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and completed her General Surgery Residency at Hospital Municipal Bernardino Rivadavia. After relocating to the U.S., she completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she was honored as Best Teaching Resident and Best Laparoscopic Resident in 2008. She went on to complete specialized training in Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology at Heartland Center for Reproductive Medicine.

Prior to joining CNY Fertility, Dr. Gondra served as Medical Director at The World Egg and Sperm Bank and founded the Gondra Center for Advanced Gynecology and Reproductive Care in Phoenix, AZ. Her career has included a wide range of roles in clinical leadership, surgical innovation, and physician training, with a consistent focus on patient-centered care and accessibility.

In addition to her extensive clinical background, Dr. Gondra has participated in research related to endometriosis, ovarian cancer, and tumor immunotherapy, and has contributed to advancing minimally invasive gynecology through her work with AAGL and the American Society of Reproductive Surgeons.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Gondra is passionate about connecting with diverse patient populations and providing education, guidance, and emotional support throughout the fertility journey. She is recognized not only for her clinical skill but also for her compassion, approachability, and commitment to excellence in care.
