Kimberly Garofalo, FNP-C

Kimberly Garofalo, MSN, APRNC-RHI, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner at CNY Fertility Syracuse, where she provides compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals and couples throughout their fertility journey. She began her career with CNY Fertility in 2008, steadily advancing through multiple clinical roles that reflect both her dedication and depth of experience.

Kim earned her LPN from OCM BOCES in 2008, her RN from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing in 2020, her BSN from Keuka College in 2022, and her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Le Moyne College in 2025, where she continues to expand her clinical expertise as part of Le Moyne College’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

At CNY Fertility, Kim performs transvaginal ultrasounds for cycle planning and monitoring, manages cycle medication planning and implementation, conducts preconception and recurrent pregnancy loss lab reviews, and performs saline sonograms and early OB ultrasounds. She also evaluates post-operative patients, conducts new patient consultations, and performs embryo transfers. Her role bridges science and empathy, helping patients understand each step of the process while ensuring their care is personalized, informed, and supportive.

Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Kim worked in several hands-on clinical roles, including assisting with retrievals and transfers, performing blood draws and IV infusions, and supporting patients through medication education and pre- and post-procedure care. This wide-ranging experience allows her to connect with patients at every stage of treatment.

Kim’s inspiration to become a nurse was deeply personal. Coming from a family of first responders, she was drawn to a profession that combined compassion, service, and purpose. Her passion for reproductive endocrinology naturally evolved from her love of women’s health, and she’s proud to be part of a team that turns hope into reality for many families.

She finds great joy in the camaraderie and collaboration at CNY Fertility, where she works alongside a talented and supportive team of professionals. To Kim, the ever-evolving nature of fertility medicine is both a challenge and a privilege, one that fuels her daily drive to deliver exceptional care.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys skiing, camping, hiking, traveling, and attending live concerts with her family.

Her message to anyone struggling with infertility is one of encouragement and empathy: You are not alone. Infertility can be isolating, but connection, persistence, and faith make the journey lighter and the victories even more meaningful.
