Sherri Thomas, WHNP-BC

Sherri Thomas, MSN, WHNP-BC, is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at CNY Fertility Nashville, where she provides comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals and couples on their fertility journeys. She joined CNY Fertility in 2025, bringing with her over a decade of experience in women’s health and a personal passion for helping patients achieve their dream of parenthood.

Sherri earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1998, her Associate Degree in Nursing from Columbia State Community College in 2014, and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2022, where she became a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

At CNY Fertility, Sherri performs preconception, baseline, monitoring, and OB ultrasounds; orders and reviews lab results; develops and adjusts medication and treatment plans; and performs procedures such as saline sonohysterograms (SIS) and hysterosalpingograms (HSG). She tailors each patient’s care plan to their unique goals and needs, providing both medical guidance and emotional support along the way.

Her journey to nursing began after nearly a decade in the wedding coordination and human resources industries, when she decided to follow her dream of becoming a nurse. After starting in emergency medicine and later serving as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, Sherri discovered her passion for women’s health. Her own experience with infertility and becoming a mother through IVF deepened that calling, inspiring her to dedicate her career to helping others overcome similar challenges.

Sherri loves working at CNY Fertility because of its inclusive and mission-driven approach, ensuring that high-quality fertility care is accessible regardless of age, weight, or financial circumstances. She takes great pride in helping patients feel confident and supported, no matter where they are in their journey.

Outside of work, Sherri enjoys the vibrant live music and theater scene in Nashville, as well as traveling, cooking for friends and family, and tackling DIY home projects (she’s exceptionally skilled with a miter saw). Much of her free time is spent with her two teenagers, who keep her life full and active.

When offering advice to those facing infertility, Sherri encourages patients to extend themselves grace, take things one step at a time, and remember that they are never alone in this process.
