Good morning, and Happy Halloween! Last week I began discussing the holidays, and how they can sometimes be challenging while trying to conceive. For example, today you will likely see many children out trick-or-treating, and families celebrating together. Some may find that these images and having children coming up to their home very emotionally challenging. It is OK if you are not feeling up to celebrating. If you feel like a quiet night at home with a good movie or getting together with friends is the best way for you to celebrate, that is great! Or, if you would like to engage with friends and families celebrating together with their children, this is a nice opportunity to help motivate you to keep moving forward. Seeing families celebrating together is a great reminder of why you are enduring these physically and emotionally challenging cycles.
However you decide to celebrate, make sure that you are protecting yourself. It is important for you to feel secure and at peace emotionally. Be good to yourself, and enjoy the day with your close friends and family!
