Words of Support and Encouragement Week of August 16, 2010


Meditation is often an overlooked facet of trying to conceive.  Setting aside 30 minutes a day to completely turn inward and focus on the self may seem impossible at times, but I promise – it isn’t!
Meditation does not have to be perfect, and there isn’t a set protocol to follow.  The goal is to quiet the mind, and focus on the breath for just a few moments.  Our Syracuse CNY Healing Arts location offers a guided meditation class, but any of our yoga classes will also help you to slow down and turn inward.
I am also in the process of completing and reviewing an IUI/IVF specific meditation program that I think may help.  I am almost finished, but so far I feel that this can be a wonderful supplement to any cycle.  Circle+Bloom offers a 15-20 minute guided meditation for each step of your cycle, and they have done a beautiful job.  I find each session to be both relaxing and invigorating.  I will have a more detailed review and video this week, but in the meantime – take a look! http://www.circlebloom.com/
