Good morning! I hope that you had a great weekend. National Infertility Awareness Week is begins next Monday, April 22nd, and we have some great events planned for you. Sharing your fertility struggles isn’t always easy when you are speaking with someone who has never faced the same challenges. The discussion of infertility and pregnancy loss has not been normalized yet in day-to-day conversation – but we’re getting there. As we work to spread awareness over the next few weeks, know that at our center, the conversation is OK. You are free to share your story without judgement or criticism, and we are here to listen.
Both this week and next in Syracuse we have our fantastic Yoga for Fertility session on Tuesday night from 5:45p-7p with Fertile Friends peer support group meeting after. In Rochester, Yoga for Fertility meets Wednesdays from 7p-8:15p with Fertile Friends before from 6p-7p. Finally, Albany Yoga for Fertility meets Tuesdays, from 7p-8p.
On Thursday night, I am holding a free Interactive Fertility Support Webinar, and I will cover the same topics from this month’s Honoring Loss workshop. We will discuss coping with grief associated with pregnancy loss and how to prepare for important dates, like the child’s conception date and birthday. I hope that you are able to join us for some of these great events, and please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or additional support that I can offer you.
