Visualization and Fertility

Can you see it now?   It’s something that we say when we’re talking about our dreams and visualizing our future.  Imagery and visualization are such an important part in fulfilling our desires—including the fertility process.  At first it may seem ‘awkward’ because it may be something new and unique, but with practice it becomes second nature and plays an integral part of attracting that which we want to happen.
Often when facing issues with fertility, it’s easy to become frustrated, sad, and even angry.  Feeling those things are completely natural; we are faced with many thoughts each day, and there are definitely some that are more challenging than others!  There’s actually a part of our brain that sorts out our thoughts and either labels it “important or unimportant”, “good or bad”, for survival purposes.  When we receive information, we have to fine-tune it and filter it, so that we can make the most of it.
That’s where meditating and visualizing on what you want versus what you don’t want comes into play.  The law of attraction states that what you think about most is what you attract.  When receiving information that can be ‘challenging’, it’s important to stop and see that positive ‘snapshot’ in your mind of what you desire.  Visualize daily about the family that you would like to have.  Rhonda Byrne, author of The Secret says “the reason visualization is so powerful is because as you create pictures in your mind of seeing yourself with what it is you want, you are generating thoughts and feelings of having it now. Visualization is simply powerfully focused thought in pictures, and it causes equally powerful feelings.”
Taking the time each and every day to ‘see’ and visualize those positive snapshots, and relaxing your mind and body are an important part in overall wellness and fertility.
