Video: Preparing Dishes for ICSI at CNY Fertility
Posted by: Editor on Aug 01, 2011 in News

Jody: When you think about everything and what we do, it’s incredible.

Dr. Rob:  Isn’t it amazing, Jody?  Tell us a little bit about what you’re doing here, Jody.

Jody:  Right now, I’m doing some petri dishes so we can do some ICSI later on today with the eggs.

Dr. Rob:  What is ICSI?

Jody:  ICSI is intracytoplasmic sperm injection, it’s an acronym for that.  What we do is we make a little dish.  We have little wells for the sperm and for the eggs.  We place them in there.  Under micro-manipulation, we put one sperm into the egg.

Dr. Rob:  Pretty awesome and amazing.  There are a lot of details that go into the process that you have to make sure is happening.

Jody:  That’s right.

Dr. Rob:  It is amazing—making babies.  It is such a detailed process.  Here at CNY Fertility Center, great people like Jody help make it happen.  Thanks, Jody!

Jody:  Love it!  Thank you!

Dr. Rob:  Awesome!
