Video: Fertility Support Webinar for Loss and Grief-April 19th
Posted by: Editor on Apr 12, 2012 in News

Hi!  My name is Lisa Stack, and I’m the CNY Fertility Support Coordinator.  I wanted to let you know about our Interactive Fertility Support Webinar happening next Thursday, April 19th from 6:30-7:30pm. This is a great opportunity if maybe you’re not local and you cannot make it to one of our support groups or in-person sessions, or Yoga for Fertility sessions.  Our Fertility Support Webinars are very laid back and relaxed.  It lasts for about an hour or about how ever long you need.  We don’t leave until all of your questions are answered.  This month we’re going to be focusing on loss and grief.

Loss and grief are challenging emotions to cope with.  It’s important to make sure that you feel like you’ve had enough support and enough opportunity to share and talk about it.  We’ll give you a couple of good insights about support, as well as grief process and how to cope with challenging situations such as the anniversary of the loss or what would have been your delivery date for that child.  I am going to touch on a lot of the topics that we hit upon during the Honoring Loss Workshop that I held in Syracuse earlier in the month.  So, this is a great workshop if you’re experiencing any kind of grief or loss.

Really, when you’re trying to conceive, there are constant moments of grief and trauma that you can experience.  Every negative test result or just coming into the office in general and admitting that maybe there is a little bit of help that you need trying to conceive.  These are all traumas and they all deserve their own time and space for grief and for your attention.  We’ll work through a few great coping tools for these emotions and how you can move forward without forgetting what has happened.  If you’d like to RSVP, go ahead and do so on the calendar.  There will be a link underneath this video.  If you have any questions, please let me know.   My contact information is here as well.  I hope to hear from you next week!
