Heal Your Body: The Mental Causes for Physical Illness and the Metaphysical Way to Overcome Them By: Louise Hay
Posted by: Editor on Aug 09, 2010 in News

This is the second book by Louise Hay that we have utilized in our Book of the Month series.  Louise offers a unique insight to multiple illnesses, as well as alternative ways to overcome them.

Instead of viewing illness and disease in the traditional way, Louise sees these ailments as manifestations of repressed anger, guilt, and resentment.  Louise claims that no illness is incurable.  She feels that with the proper time and care given to the root of the problem, everything can be cured.  This can be seen in the following excerpt:

When I hear about someone’s illness, no matter what dire their predicament seems to be, I know that if they’re willing to do the mental work of releasing and forgiving, almost anything can be healed.  The word incurable, which is so frightening to so may people, really only means that the particular condition cannot be cured by ‘outer’ methods and that we must go within to effect the healing.  The condition came from nothing and will go back to nothing.  (Hay, 2)

Utilizing Louise’s index of ailments, it may be possible to find further insight into various conditions.  Whether this process results in conception or not, it is important to note that each step taken towards relaxation, is a step towards improving fertility.

In the index of Heal Your Body, find the ailment that most describes your situation.  Then take note of the emotion behind this disease, according to Louise.  Does it sound familiar?  Could the reason described be true?  Next, try the positive affirmation.  Whenever you become conscious of the disease, repeat the mantra to yourself.  Keep in mind that you are working towards releasing harbored emotions, and ultimately releasing the self.
