FAQ - Zymot Device
The Zymot device is an alternate way to process the sperm sample avoiding the centrifugation process used in our standard washing method. It does not necessarily help us select the best sperm. Avoiding the centrifugation process may improve the quality and quantity of motile sperm in your prepared sample.
There must be motile sperm in the sample to use the Zymot.
This can be used with fresh or frozen sperm.
If you wish to use the Zymot device, then you will need to contact our Billing/Financial team to pay for the device prior to your donors’ retrieval. The device typically costs around $200. Once payment is made, the Billing/Financial team will alert the lab, and your device will be ordered.
