Dr. Rob: Hi Lisa! How are you?
Lisa: I’m great Dr. Kiltz. How are you doing?
Dr. Rob: Spectacular. It’s a really beautiful day, isn’t it?
Lisa: It absolutely is.
Dr. Rob: I always say if we’ breathing, it’s a good day. The rest is just part of the journey.
Lisa: It completely is.
Dr. Rob: It can be very challenging.
Lisa: It can be very challenging.
Dr. Rob: What are we talking about today?
Lisa: PCOS, which is also very challenging for our clients.
Dr. Rob: It’s is. It is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Many women have it and we don’t know why nor do we know the cause. In general, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is really that–polycystic ovaries. Many women with polycystic ovaries have infertility, irregular menstrual cycles, they have issues with hyper insulin, anemia, high insulin levels, and excessive hair in some cases, half of them may be overweight and have difficulty with weight control.
Lisa: There are so many symptoms out there. It’s very challenging for clients because sometimes beyond just taking your fertility medications; there’s a whole lifestyle to consider. You have to consider diet, exercise, and relaxation to really get the PCOS under control. What I love about our centers is under one roof, we can accomplish everything. We can take care of nutrition, exercise, relaxation, while also managing medications and your cycle. It’s really wonderful to have a one-stop place to treat all facets of PCOS.
Dr. Rob: I think that’s really important. At CNY Fertility and CNY Healing Arts, integrative fertility care—that’s really who and what we really are. We’re here to bring both the Eastern and Western approaches together. For many people, acupuncture, yoga, and herbs all are very helpful. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is not a bad thing. Many women are fertile with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Simple things like diet change can be very, very helpful. Please, we’re here to help answer your questions. If there’s anything that we can do, and do it better, let us know!
Lisa: Absolutely. We have everything you need right under one roof. You don’t have to run and try to find the gym, find the nutritionist, and find an endocrinologist. We can take care of absolutely everything right here. So come on in and ask us any questions that you may have. Even if you’re just thinking I’ve heard some symptoms of PCOS, it may sound like what I’ve been facing or struggling with fertility for a little while, come on in. We can get a quick ultrasound, we can do a very quick consultation. We can diagnose you, and get you right on your way!
