Hi! My name is Lisa Stack, and I’m the CNY Fertility Support Coordinator. I wanted to upload a quick video in addition to my words of Support and Encouragement article this week talking about our allocation of energy. I’ll let you know about one of my favorite websites, mindbodygreen.com. This website focuses on overall health and wellness, yoga, nutrition, spirituality, and just taking the time to spend with yourself enhancing your overall wellness, your nutrition, and your health. This website had an article talking about how we use our energy during the day. What I’d like you to do is imagine you only have a set amount of energy throughout the day. Then, take a moment and take an inventory of where you spend that energy. Is there someone in your life that maybe you should give a little more to? Additionally, is there someone maybe taking more energy than they should because at the end of the day, you have to have some energy spared for yourself. Especially if you’re trying to conceive, it’s always important to reserve some for yourself to work on your overall health and wellness and to make sure you’re feeling rested and cared for at the end of the day. I’d like to point you also to our meditation for this month. The October meditation will be up on the CNY Fertility website soon and I’ll walk you through your energy allocation throughout the day, and how you can try a few ways to preserve more energy for yourself, and the importance of preserving energy for yourself. Additionally, yoga and our meditative sessions in our office are great ways to work on storing up our energy and making sure that we’re using it wisely throughout the day.
