As an open ID donor program, you must also consent to your medical history and identifying information being shared with any adult donor-conceived person born from your eggs upon request. It will be the donor’s (your) choice to reciprocate communication and or have a relationship with them.
Understanding the Egg Donation Process
How to Become an Egg Donor
Egg donation involves removing eggs from a woman (donor) who is healthy and fertile. After being removed, the eggs are either frozen for the future or used immediately by hopeful parents-to-be who can’t make babies on their own.

STEP ONE:
Application & QuestionnaireFill out the online Egg Donor Application/Questionnaire.
- Please remember that all applicants must be healthy females aged 35 or younger, have a BMI between 18-35, not be an active smoker, and live within 2 hours of Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Colorado Springs, or Sarasota.
- If accepted, the CNY Donor Team will contact you for next steps.

STEP TWO:
Physical Exam & BloodworkIf your application is accepted, you’ll be contacted by the CNY Donor Team to schedule your initial testing (physical exam, transvaginal ultrasound, and bloodwork).
- Once all testing is complete, you will be notified if you are eligible to proceed as an egg donor.

STEP THREE:
Starting Your Egg Donor Cycle- If you’re eligible, your donor profile will become active, and you will wait for a recipient family to select you.
- Your egg retrieval process takes approximately 14 days, including injections, monitoring, and the retrieval itself.
- All of your egg retrieval procedures happen at one of our full-service offices in Syracuse (NY), Albany (NY), Buffalo (NY), Colorado Springs (CO), and Sarasota (FL).

STEP FOUR:
Compensation- Around a week after retrieval, you’ll receive a $4,000 check. You can cycle up to 6 times (up to $24,000) prior to age 33.
