Good morning! I hope you are able to enjoy a little time off for reflection and remembrance today. During these summer holidays, and most holidays in general, you will find a great emphasis on activities geared towards children. Although children do offer much hope and enjoyment, they do personify the challenges and struggles that you are facing. Whether you decide to partake in activities this summer that are likely to include many children or not is your choice, and whatever you choose is OK. It is important to anticipate and respect your emotions. Instead of burying them for the sake of getting along with the day, allow yourself time to grieve, cry, get angry, feel anxious, etc.. Once you have made space for that emotion, move on with your day by engaging in a different physically or emotionally consuming activity. Instead of simply stating ‘Ok, I won’t think about it anymore’ actually change your physical location, begin a new activity, or drastically change your present situation in some way.
This week, I will highlight a few great support opportunities available to you this month.
I would also like to remind you that on Wednesday, the client-led support group will meet in Horseheads, NY for their first session. For group information, please visit the following article: http://cnyfertility.com/2011/05/27/client-led-support-group-in-horseheads-new-york/
Have a great week!
